I get my hand on some old hardware, but I didn't want to spend much money to buy a case, so I decided to build one on my own.

The high end hardware: :P

Pentium II 266 mhz

128 mb RAM

old ASUS mainboard with onboard video card

WD 40 gig

old AT PSU (ripped off a 468 rig)

Because the case should not cost much money, I used a lot of stuff I had lying around. I just had to buy adhesive foil and some wood. The future case:

The side and the top were bonded with the foil:

Then I cut the wood profiles and glued them on the side elements:

Dowels and glue connect the corner pieces with the middle once.

I had to cut some holes for the plugs.

At the end I put everything together and installed the hardware. But it looked a bit boring, so I mount a CCFL under the motherboard.

13.07.2007 15:39 mofupoWell... There is no. The air should get throw the "bottom" in the case, because I didn't want to drill holes in the sides.

11.07.2007 13:34 edhelharnsomeone is going to sit over that, if you keep it on the floor...
08.07.2007 12:30 JapalaGreat looks but those white areas feel bit too... "clean". :) Could you think of something to add there? Perhaps some figures cut from wood veneer, make some carvings...
