DIY-wall bracket

Author: Jiikax
Used time: ~1 hour
Cost: 12 euros
Categories: Monitor

I wanted wall bracket for my 24" Fujitsu-Siemens. I didn't have any "real" reason, but it just would look better than with normal stand. I looked from verkkokauppa.com that cheapest wall bracket was ~15 euros but it doesn't have tilt adjustment and with tilt adjustment prices start from 25-30 euros. That is too much from wall bracket when there is no "real" need for that. I figured that if I could make myself some kind of wall bracket which would have tilt adjustment. Of course there is for example this, but with it display would be even closer to my face than now, and its pretty close already. Now when I made this bracket myself I am able to get display few centimetres further away than with stock stand.

I dissambled my displays stand and it looked like this:

I figured that I could use that thing which I have circuled in pic below to attach the screen to the wall and still keep tilt adjustment.

My friend did this right kind of metal plate for me. It cost 12 euros.

I painted it white with some old car spraypaint. Paintjob is awful, but it doesn't matter because wall bracket is not in visible place.

Bracket installed to the wall.
