19.04.2011 12:34 Voryonhttp://www.overclock.net/air-cooling/729807-noctua-d14-fans-1-vs-2-a.html well according to this throwing a third fan on the heatsink & removing the case fan seems to be the best deal but im gonna keep it as it's now :)
13.04.2011 22:10 Voryonwell with this case i don't really notice any sound, not that i would care anyway :)
13.04.2011 19:54 JaverhIt's actually quite interesting to note that the NH-D14 is not that loud with both NF-P12 and NF-P14. With both fans it is only 2.9dBA louder ( 1.5dBA with L.N.A. and 1.9dBA with U.L.N.A. ) than a lone NF-P12. Noisewise it would be wisest to keep the NF-P14 running in the middle and remove the NF-P12.
13.04.2011 18:13 alfonsI would use only case fan and (far left) and if necessary square CPU fan (far right).
13.04.2011 12:28 OzzkuuThat thing comes with 2 fans so I presume that it is designed for 2 fans
13.04.2011 11:32 Errtuonly thing what you get if more soundpressure.. (douple fans and you get extra 3db) you get 4.5db extra with those 3 fans what you could get with only 1 which could do same job as 3 of those.
13.04.2011 11:31 Errtuf you connect duplicate fans in serie, they dont give you more flow as cfm. You only can produse more pressure, which can help if sink is too tight. CPU heat sinks are build for 1 fan only so you get about 1-3% more flow with you connection. If you connect fans in parallel, you get more flow, but pressure stays the same. Believe me m8.. I have done same misstake some time ago. best way to build that is leave one in the middle, get ridoff case fan and fan on sinks right side and build duckt from sink to case hole.
12.04.2011 20:19 Voryonumh no why? wan't as much cooling from it as possible :)
12.04.2011 19:50 alfonshave you tried to take away the fan in the middle?
