30.05.2010 10:48 YarikoWell yeah, but I would rather mill it, easier to make screw threads then. Must put the idea under my thinkin' hat.
30.05.2010 09:29 drakminSides could be done without milling. Just cut two types of alumum slices (300x40 and 300x20 for example) and just pile those.
30.05.2010 00:00 YarikoYeah, I think it would work fine with these little amps. But kinda wanted to use heatsink just for the cool factor ;) And ensure that even on very long continous use this works without problems. But yeah it's bit of a overkill maybe :) Thanks for the comment, maybe trying the idea when I make better amp inside this case and move the low power hardware to laptop amplifier (One more project to do!)
29.05.2010 23:27 JapalaTop and bottom will be acrylic too? If not, perhaps you could use them for cooling. With low powered amp this should work fine?
29.05.2010 20:44 YarikoIt's going to be polycarbonite or plexi... I was thinking first if I ask somewhere can they mill the sides from aluminium so I could really use them as heatsink, but propably sticking on the plexi glass for now. Maybe in the Versio 2.0 ;)
29.05.2010 20:09 drakminwhy not to use side panel for cooling :D
