    I took a series of test photos with my modded IR-camera. I let the cooking plate get hot for maybe a minute or so until "t". While the camera isn't sensitive enough and/or the range isn't suitable for it to be used as a heat camera, it certainly can see some hotness :) You can see the original pic here: http://jaeae.smugmug.com/photos/712860545_WvAsj-X3.jpg

    Turquoise lightning....    		 I did some potentiometer cleaning with PRF 7-78 and blowed 30 years worth of dust out :D Maybe it'll serve as a RIAA pre for my computer from now on.

    See the "Camera...    		 It's a three way bass reflex system; 6,5" woofer, 2" midrange and 1" treble.

It's a never opened package.. all the parts smell like 1970's :D The manual is all french, with a date of 1973. Dunno what I'm going to do with these.. maybe just use in my personal speaker museum.

    Bought some stuff for future projects. These were for sale (among other audio hw) @ Audico systems clearance sale. I worked for them for a couple of months, so I got them cheaply :) I've had a growing interest for horn speakers, so these horns are going to be used for some experiments.. I think :)
    Bought some stuff fo...    		 This is my cousy place :) The light colour in the pic is right, it was late noon sun shining in.. Couch is actually a nice place to surf and watch movies, keeping the keyboard on my thighs. And if someone wonders, the lcd is viewsonic vx2025wm (very good colors, uses mva panel, I recommend), the speakers are the 3 front ones of a self-made 5.1 system, and the painting in the wall is made by my sister :)

    Small active speakers using Aura 3" full-range unit and linkwitz transform to extend the bass response
    Here's the combined response of the speakers. Measured with home-made mic using panasonic/monacor capsule, so you can't trust the curve 100%, although it's close to truth. The metal cone resonances can be clearly seen + the rising response from midrange and up because of the lack of any baffle-step circuitry.

    There's a red led in...    		 The actual boxes are clock radios from clas ohlson :) They were so well made, that I didn't bother to build my own, saved some trouble :) Everything else is self-made. The white front and back plates I made out of plywood.

    The speakers use linkwitz transform to extend the bass response. They can produce bass down to 50 or 60 Hz, which is very low for a 3" speaker in one litre box :) Thus the amplifier lacks some power. I used a TDA7375, which isn't really optimal for this kind of use.
