I picked up an external hdd it's power supply from recycling bin in hope of getting a working enclosure for one of my drives.
When I first started to test it out, I noticed a whizzing sound coming inside the power supply and the HDD didn't spin up properly. After short moment with multimeter it turned out that the power supply was not giving out the right voltages.
I cracked the casing open and noticed three popped capacitors. I replaced one with new, but the two others were too bulky to fit inside the housing. So here is the solution.
After testing it again, it turned out that the HDD itself was working. Now i have 400GB external HDD.
